Ephemeral is a journey — a three-day masterclass devoted to exploring the beauty of impermanence through design, movement, and collaboration. Led by Jung Da Yoon of Aulling Atelier (Korea), TJ McGrath (New Jersey), and guest designer Lori Bley of The Hidden Daisy (New Jersey), this experience invites participants to engage with flowers across scales: from the intimacy of the centerpiece, to the expansiveness of large-scale installation, and finally, back to the hand-tied bouquet.
Set against the serene backdrop of Jardin de Buis, each day builds upon the last — a meditation on what it means to create beauty that exists only for a moment, yet leaves a lasting impression.
What’s Included in Your Registration:
Your registration includes all floral materials, vessels, and mechanics for each day’s design work, along with in-depth instruction from T.J. McGrath and guest designer Jung Da Yoon of Aulling Atelier. Participants will be guided through hands-on demonstrations and creative exercises that build across our three days together. Light lunches are provided each day, with a shared dinner among the blooms on Day Two. Tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be available throughout the sessions. All flowers and materials will be sourced locally to reflect the beauty and abundance of spring at Jardin de Buis. Students will also receive a detailed schedule, supplier resource list, and access to a keepsake photo gallery after the workshop. Images may be used in accordance with our photographer's guidelines for your own marketing, web and social media content.
Not Included: Travel and Hotel Accommodation are not included in the registration. You can find a list of nearby stays here.
Returns & Cancellation Policy
All sales are final. By registering for Ephemeral: a three-day Master Class with Aulling Atelier, you acknowledge that no refunds are offered for any reason. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself in the event that you need to cancel or adjust your plans.
If you’re unable to attend, your registration may be transferred to another participant with prior approval and at least 14 days’ notice before the workshop begins.
In the unlikely event that the workshop must be cancelled by the organizers due to unforeseen circumstances (such as severe weather, venue issues, illness, or other events beyond our control), participants will be notified promptly and offered the option to:

Transfer their registration to a future session, or
-
Receive a credit toward a future TJ McGrath Design workshop or event.
Refunds will only be issued in the rare case that the organizers themselves must cancel the class entirely.
Please note that failure to attend, or arriving after the workshop has begun, will result in forfeiture of your registration without refund or credit. Because this is a carefully timed and immersive experience, we’re unable to repeat any portion for late arrivals.
“You acknowledge and agree that, in the unlikely event an instructor is unable to fulfill their commitment due to illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances, the workshop organizers reserve the right to provide a qualified replacement instructor of comparable skill and experience. No refunds will be issued on the basis of such a change.
